Bayfront Recycled Water Facility Project No. 1763.0
West Bay Sanitary District is implementing the “Bayfront Recycled Water Facilities Project” to construct a satellite facility at its decommissioned Bayfront Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) site, recycled water distribution pipeline, and influent wastewater pumping station and force main. The District advertised Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the project in September 2023 for Design-Build Services and received one application from Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction (APEC) in October 2023. APEC constructed the Sharon Heights Recycled Water Project in 2019 for the District and most likely will be helping the District to Design-Build the new Bayfront Recycled Water Facility. The RFP is nearly complete and the District’s Consultant, Woodard & Curran, will be assisting the District staff in selection of the Design-Build contractor and managing the construction. The project is anticipated to start in mid-2025 with a completion date in late-2026.
